Internet without content would be a dessert. There will be nothing in there. In 1996, Bill Gates wrote in an article that “Content is King”. Content is the foundation of your digital marketing effort. Without it, there will be no meaningful digital marketing strategy and/or program. It’ll be just a waste of your money and time to even think about doing digital marketing. Therefore, remember, “Content” is king. You have to have valuable content that is searchable, consumable, and sharable, that people find useful to spend time on.
If you think that you’ve got a product brochure or a website with product content, and think that’s enough. Think again. The kind of content you need to create should help users to understand their need of the product solutions you are selling, and why they should choose yours other than the competitors. This covers a whole spectrum of the type of content that you need to create to help drive awareness (to educate), consideration, evaluation, and purchase decisions. Once you created those great content, you’ll also have to think about how you plan to make it reachable by your audience. How do you promote the content like you promote your product.
